As part of last year’s successful Kickstarter campaign for our children’s book Chin Up, Chinchilla, we offered an on-line Adobe Illustrator workshop as a reward level. Not only was it really well received, I was encouraged by some of the attendees to offer it again. I made some updates, called it the Boom! Bam! Brush! Workshop, rented a loft space in German Village and put the word out. That evening, we had a full house! 23 people came and we had a really great time. We had a couple out-of-state attendees and several who traveled hours to get here.
Word got out and I was invited to give the same workshop at the Circles Conference in Dallas, Texas. This time 34 people attended. Everyone made new friends and we learned some time-saving and creative ways to use paint and household items to add a unique look to our vector-based design and illustration work.
Please join us for the next live workshop on November 7th!
My friends at the Modern College of Design are partnering with AAF Dayton, in hosting me on November 7th, In Kettering, Ohio. The event is open to the public. Please join us!
“Regardless of your skillset or tenure of Illustrator experience, this class had everyone at some point lifting their jaws off the floor. The class was super comprehensive and walked through not only the usage but obstacles that arise with each of the brush settings. Jeremy is a natural teacher and nurturer with a pure intention of spreading his knowledge and helping others achieve their full potential. Bravo.”

“The workshop was well worth the price of admission. The content was very well explained and engaging. Three hours seemed like the right amount of time but I could have spent a couple of days absorbing the content. I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and the atmosphere.”
